Reminder to Employers to Post OSHA Injury Summary

February 6, 2007

The New York State Insurance Fund and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration remind employers that their job-related injury and illness summaries for the year 2006 should have been posted by February 1. Employers are required to post the OSHA summary Form 300A through April 30, 2007.

The form is to be displayed in a common area wherever notices to employees are usually posted. A copy of the summary must be made available to employees who move from work site to work site, such as construction employees and employees who do not report to any fixed establishment on a regular basis.

You can find more information from OSHA here:  http://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=NEWS_RELEASES&p_id=13559
