Make This Brochure Work For You

September 15, 2006

NYSIF has released an updated version of its popular and award-winning brochure, "Would You Like To Save Money?" A tip sheet for businesses about how to save money on NYSIF premium audits, the new brochure has been renamed, more appropriately, "Make Audits Work For You."

"NYSIF is pleased to offer this new brochure that we believe greatly expands on the original," NYSIF CEO David Wehner said in announcing the brochure's release. "We saw a need for a revision based on input from Policyholder Services managers in our business offices and the result was a successful collaboration between our Marketing and Policyholder Services staffs to produce a pamphlet that contains more information, yet provides a simple breakdown of what our policyholders can do and how they should prepare to help themselves with an audit."

Expanded from a three-panel to a four-panel brochure, the new piece extracts information from both the original and additional premium audit information used by NYSIF business offices.

The brochure includes new sections on Miscellaneous Employee and Interchange of Labor Rules, Unpaid Relatives, Responsibility for Uninsured Contractors, Additional Charges, and What Records Are Needed.

The new brochure was edited and produced by NYSIF's Media and Publications Office. The office, in collaboration with NYSIF's Field Services Department, won a third-place award for the original brochure in 1988 from the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds. "Make Audits Work For You" is available from the Media and Publications Office in NYC or a pdf is available by clicking on the link above.
