(Catskill) R.C. Lacy, a Catskill Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Subaru dealership that has served Green County and the upper Hudson Valley since 1914, was honored January 30, 2006 for attaining 75 years as a policyholder with the New York State Insurance Fund.
“It is hard to imagine a business relationship lasting 75 years, but this one has not only endured for decades it has also been very good,” said Ed Obertubbesing, business manager for the Albany district office of the New York State Insurance Fund. Obertubbesing and NYSIF Field Representative Edward Wroblewski presented a plaque to Dan and Jim Lacy commemorating the anniversary of R.C. Lacy’s first workers’ compensation policy written by NYSIF in 1931, making the dealership one of the Fund’s oldest clients.
“We have had a good solid partnership,” said Dan Lacy as he spoke of his company’s longest-lasting business relationship. Lacy was especially appreciative of the safety training programs that NYSIF has presented to R.C. Lacy employees over the years.
