Government agencies, as well as contractors and other businesses, rely on certificates of insurance to prove coverage is in place. NYSIF eCERTS® helps prevent the use of fraudulent certificates by allowing anyone with access to a computer to validate the authenticity of a NYSIF certificate.

NYSIF eCERTS® allows active policyholders and brokers to create certificates of insurance anytime, day or night, 24/7, without a need to contact NYSIF (you must be a registered NYSIF user to create certificates). Our eCERTS® system also allows anyone to validate a NYSIF certificate online, a powerful fraud fighting tool that is a first among insurance carriers in New York. It is not necessary to be a registered NYSIF user to validate a certificate. All you need is the following information: policy number, certificate number, validation number (found at bottom of certificate), and certificate holder zip code.
