About Small Group Training

Frequent reminders directed at individuals or groups of two or three workers often provide more meaningful communication than large meetings.

In an effective safety program, supervisors and co-workers are trained to positively reinforce the message that safety is important. Hazards inherent in workplace operations must be clear, including those created by the worker, such as wearing loose clothing or jewelry around moving machinery.

Effective safety training for employees can be simple, five minute talks, or can extend to include a video presentation, demonstrations and more detailed training if hazard exposure and accident experience warrant. It is best to document all safety training.
