Notice to Policyholders: New York Construction Classification Premium Adjustment Program (NYCCPAP)

October 4, 2010

The New York Compensation Insurance Rating Board has created an automated web based system for the submission of New York Construction Classification Premium Adjustment Program (NYCCPAP) applications. This new system is known as the CPAP Web Based Application Entry System and it is available through the Rating Board’s web site.

As a result of the new web based application system, NYSIF will immediately discontinue sending the four-page application to eligible policyholders. Instead, a new one-page notification letter will be forwarded to eligible policyholders and their authorized representatives approximately eight months prior to the policy renewal date. The notification letter provides eligibility requirements and directs policyholders to the Rating Board’s web site.

Policyholders can apply online for faster service or download a paper application. The web site provides important information necessary for proper completion of the application, such as the FAQ’s and the “Do’s and Don’ts” sections.

Note: Electronic applications should be completed within three months prior to policy renewal, while paper applications must be received within six months prior to policy renewal. Policyholders submitting re-applications should be directed to the Rating Board’s web site.
