Safety Basics Healthcare Series

At NYSIF, we recognize that training employees in a healthcare facility is a vital part of an on-going safety program. Our Safety Basics - Healthcare Series covers a variety of safety topics pertinent to the healthcare industry.  These Safety Basics may be utilized as handouts in safety training sessions, or put on display in the workplace to promote safety and educate employees on how to avoid injuries.

These one page reference sheets come directly from OSHA material and focus on lifting, transfer, ambulation and bathing and toileting devices commonly used in healthcare facilities.  There are also topics pertinent to housekeeping and other related functions.  For your convenience we have grouped them by topic and listed them below.
