About Claims

Once a claim is filed, NYSIF takes a team approach to minimizing the impact of every work related accident. NYSIF Global Case Management (GCM) uses a team of specialists, led by a claims case manager, to ensure that services are delivered promptly so that the injured worker, when feasible, can return to work as soon as possible. The Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) oversees the adjudication of all claims.
