NYSIF Board of Commissioners Meetings

NYSIF Board of Commissioners’ meetings are generally scheduled for the third Wednesday of each month, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at NYSIF, 199 Church Street, New York, NY 10007, unless otherwise noted. The Board does not convene in August. Minutes are posted once they have been approved by the Board at the subsequent meeting.

The NYSIF Board of Commissioners was created by Workers’ Compensation Law by Section 77. The Board is comprised of 11 members, 8 appointed by the Governor, one appointed by the Governor upon recommendation by the NY State AFL-CIO, one appointed by the Governor upon recommendation by Business Council of the State of New York, and lastly, the Commissioner of Labor, or their designee, is a NYSIF Commissioner by virtue of their office. All appointed Commissioners must be policyholders with NYSIF. Commissioners are appointed for terms of three years and serve until their successors are appointed and qualified. Commissioners do not receive a salary or any compensation, but shall receive their actual and necessary traveling and other expenses incurred in connection with their attendance upon meetings of the business of NYSIF.
