Chris Lafakis is a director at Moody's Analytics. He oversees Moody’s Analytics’ climate risk initiative, and is responsible for climate modeling, climate risk and scenario creation. He also leads the energy team and is responsible for making energy price forecasts. Additionally, he has expertise in macroeconomics, regional economics, model development and model validation.

Mr. Lafakis has been quoted by media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg, and National Public Radio and often speaks at economic conferences and events. Mr. Lafakis received his bachelor's degree in economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his master's degree in economics from the University of Alabama.
