Jessica C. Marx, M.Sc. is a Senior Program Officer at the National Academy of Medicine, where she directs the Action Collaborative on Achieving a Climate Resilient and Sustainable Health Sector (Climate Collaborative) and leads programmatic efforts across the NAM Grand Challenge on Climate and Health. Her work focuses on building cross-sector collaborations and advancing systems-level solutions at the intersection of climate, sustainability, and health. She previously directed Vital Directions for Health and Health Care, translating expert insights into actionable guidance for policymakers and the public. Before joining the National Academies, she managed the research and grantmaking program at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) at the University of Maryland and worked at nonprofits focused on leadership development, conservation, and environmental peacebuilding. She served for four years on the Executive Board of DC EcoWomen and recently joined the Board of Directors of the Environmental Leadership Program.

Jessica holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.Sc. in Human Ecology: Culture, Power, and Sustainability from Lund University in Sweden.
