Michelle VanCamp, Director of Claims Business Operations: Named the Director of Claims in September 2023, Michelle has served in the NYSIF Claims Department for 29 years, starting as a Keyboard Specialist and holding numerous positions throughout her career. Michelle’s extensive claims, supervisory and management experience has led to successive advancements within the Claims Department and NYSIF as a whole. Michelle served as the Syracuse Office Claims Director, Syracuse Office Business Manager and Regional Claims Director prior to her role as Deputy Director of Claims.
Michelle has worked on many claims initiatives throughout her career. Most recently, she has played an essential role in leading the Claims Department through its reorganization into statewide claims divisions and the creation of NYSIF's internal claims communications program.
