Alexis E. Thomas, of Kings County, brings extensive experience in finance and governance to NYSIF's Board of Commissioners.
Ms. Thomas is the CEO and Founder of Preston Hollow Consultants (PHC). PHC is a boutique consulting firm providing thought partnership and strategic consulting, together with diversity and inclusion integration in the financial services, private equity and non-profit sectors. The PHC mission is to provide customized, strategic solutions to address the specific needs of the client's culture, while effectively driving sustainable, measurable results in the workforce, workplace, community, supplier base, and marketplace.
Ms. Thomas most recently served as principal and manager of the Municipal Underwriting and Syndicate Desk at The Williams Capital Group, L.P., where she directed all aspects of senior and co-managed deals for tax-exempt transactions, with a focus on establishing and building the firm's deal management capabilities. She previously served as the managing director of Fixed Income and Equity Syndicate Department of Blaylock and Partners, L.P. Other previous employment includes high-level positions at WR Lazard, Laidlaw & Luther, Inc.; National Westminster Bank, USA; and Citicorp/Citibank, N.A.
Ms. Thomas holds an MBA in finance from Columbia University, a Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS degree from Morgan State University. She currently serves as a deaconess and the chair of the Trustee Board of the Abyssinian Baptist Church.
