Augusto Bortoloni, Director of Policyholder Services Business Operations: Augie joined NYSIF more than 30 years ago as a Policyholder Services Representative. Augie then served as a supervisor in Field Services (now Risk Control) and Policyholder Services Manager for the Albany office before being named the Albany Business Manager in 2010. As Business Manager, Augie was responsible for all PHS and Claims business operations strategic goals, along with administrative management of the building. In 2019, Augie was promoted to the Assistant Director of Underwriting for Small Markets.
With more than 30 years of loss control expertise, along with policyholder and broker relations experience, Augie brings a wealth of knowledge and insight into overseeing Policyholder Business Operations. He oversaw the transition from regional underwriting offices to the division between Small and Mid/Large Markets, and as the head of Small Markets, was responsible for nearly 100,000 NYSIF policies, totaling $160 million in premium. Augie maintains certification as an OSHA-Authorized Outreach Trainer for both General Industry and Construction and graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a double major in business economics and mathematics.
