Sita Fey, Director of External Affairs: Sita joined NYSIF in 2023 after serving Governor Hochul's transition team and as Deputy Secretary for Appointments and Human Resources. Prior to her time in the Chamber, Sita served as the Director of Policy at the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets and Senior Advisor to then-Lieutenant Governor Hochul. Prior to state service, Sita was a Library Media Specialist in the Cooperstown Central School District and received the 2014 Educator of the Year award. Active in her local community, Sita has served as President of Opportunities for Otsego, and is a former board member of Catholic Charities in Otsego County.
As Director of External Affairs, Sita is a member of the Executive staff working to build, establish and support relationships with multiple stakeholder groups, including industry advocacy groups, professional organizations, and other federal/state government entities. In addition, Sita oversees agency-wide and executive communications that assist in maintaining NYSIF’s role as a leader in workers’ compensation and disability benefits insurance.
Sita holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY Cortland, a Master of Science in Information Systems from the University at Albany, a BS in Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta and has studied at Albany Law.
