Sita Fey, Director of External Affairs: Sita joined NYSIF in 2023 after serving as Governor Hochul’s Deputy Secretary for Appointments and Human Resources. Prior to her time in the Chamber, Sita served as the Director of Policy at the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets and Senior Advisor to then-Lieutenant Governor Hochul. Prior to state service, Sita was a Library Media Specialist in the Cooperstown Central School District for seven years and received the 2014 Educator of the Year award.
As Director of External Affairs, Sita works closely with Executive staff to build, establish and support relationships with multiple stakeholder groups, including industry advocacy groups, professional organizations, and other federal/state government entities. In addition, Sita performs duties/activities, as assigned, that assist in maintaining NYSIF’s role as a leader in workers’ compensation and disability benefits insurance.
Sita holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from the University at Albany, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY Cortland and a BS in Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta.
