The New York State Insurance Fund today announced that it has added two enhancements to its online workers’ compensation eCERT system, giving users more flexibility in managing their certificates of insurance.
First, certificate holders, reps and policyholders now have the option to hide a certificate from their renewal lists for short term jobs that will not extend beyond the current policy period. Users can select this option during certificate creation. Users may also select this option from the certificate details screen to hide a certificate that is no longer needed.
In addition, users can now select a certificate for renewal 90 days prior to a policy’s renewal. When the new policy period begins, the selected certificates will automatically be renewed and sent to the certificate holder’s email address on file. A PDF version of the renewed certificate will also be accessible.
We expect these enhancements to improve customers’ experience with NYSIF's certificate system. We encourage certificate holders to subscribe to our eCERT system to better manage their certificates.
